The Herron School of Art and Design announces the Think IT Make IT Lab.

For more than a decade, staff from the UITS Advanced Visualization Lab (AVL) offered a service that helps members of the IU community prepare digital object data for physical fabrication. Before Herron's new Lab was announced, many of the digitally prepared objects were being sent offsite to a for-profit company for fabrication. The Think IT Make IT Lab provides local access to state-of-the-art fabrication equipment. A goal of the Lab is to encourage and enable the local IU community to learn about the process by printing their own designs. When the Lab opens in 2015, IU students, staff, and faculty will be able to use their IUPUI JagTag to pay for the fabrication.
